Our Continuing Education registration pathway is available to Austin students from all educational backgrounds. It has no visa or transcript requirements.

About ESOL
- ESOL offers online English classes in reading, writing, grammar, and oral communication courses.
- Students are required to take a placement test before registering for classes.
- Students can opt to take just one course per semester or as many as four or five.
- All ESOL faculty have a master’s degree or higher.
Cost
- Each course costs $256 per semester
Types of Online English Classes for Adults
- Synchronous classes — Live instruction where faculty and students meet online at the same time.
- Asynchronous classes — Distance learning where students log in at a time that is convenient for them to study and complete assignments.
