Center for Peace and Conflict Director, Dr. Shirin Khosropour, was invited by Austin Police Department’s Training Academy to conduct Multiculturalism training for the Austin Police Department’s 147th Cadet Class.

Dr. Shirin Khosropour and Dr. Marcus McQuirter, PACS faculty affiliate and Drama professor at ACC, led the Cadets in discussions toward understanding that worldviews, and therefore actions, are shaped by one’s own culture and experiences. Cadets were encouraged to be more aware of how people tend to use their own understanding of the world as the standard way of being.
