In Mahayana Buddhism, the bodhisatva path to enlightenment involves cultivating six “perfections,” or ethical qualities: generosity, moral conduct, patience, energy, meditative awareness, and wisdom. This year’s lecture by Adjunct Philosophy Professor Carolyn Bottler will focus on the middle two “perfections” of patience and energy. Come find out how increasing your tolerance and your energetic effort can relieve suffering for yourself and for others and lead to greater enlightenment for all.
