Matt Watkins – Adjunct Professor of Philosophy

Biography

I went to school at Texas Tech University, completing my B.S. in Psychology and B.A. in Philosophy in 2004.  I went on to also complete my M.A. in Philosophy there in 2007.

Teaching Philosophy

I emphasize 3 skills in my courses: reading, writing, and thinking. I use most of class time for lecturing, but always welcome questions from students. I like to include small group and class activities during lecture to support the class discussion. I care more about my students learning to think clearly and coherently than I do about them thinking like I do.
