Adjunct Professor of Philosophy

 

Biography

Dr. Stansell completed her doctoral work at University of Texas at Austin in 2008. She has three academic publications, all on the topic of Indian religious philosophies. Dr. Stansell’s work has been presented at the East-West Philosopher’s Conference, Society for Asian and Comparative Philosophy Annual Conference, and the Parliament of World Religions.

Teaching Philosophy

Dr. Stansell applies Competency-Based Education (CBE) in her face-to-face and online courses. This model of teaching focuses on what students learn how to do. Dr. Stansell emphasizes “hands-on” activities in which students practice skills and have the opportunity to do philosophy themselves.
