While the emergence of video games is a recent cultural phenomenon, game play has been essential to the human experience throughout the ages. We play to learn, to socialize, to better understand ourselves and to better understand others. This panel discussion will explore the role of games in humanity, from the advent of ancient board games to the new frontier of virtual reality RPGs.
