Social scientists have noted a marked rise in the number of Americans who say they have “no religion” in the past decade, even as religion remains a powerful social and political force. In this lecture, Dr. Grant Potts will discuss what current research shows us about the transformations in religion, spirituality, and belief in the United States; also suggesting what this means for both religious and nonreligious Americans.
