Dr. Grant Potts will provide an educational talk on the significance of ritual as an aspect of philosophical reflection in Chinese (Confucian) tradition, which will also provide the audience with a general introduction to Confucianism and Chinese thought. The talk will conclude with remarks exploring the potential value of exploring ritual as an aspect of ethical reflection in the 21st century in the Western context.
