Biography<\/strong><\/h4>\n
Kerri graduated Magna Cum Laude with a Bachelor\u2019s degree in Anthropology and a minor in Sociology from the University of Las Vegas, Nevada. Her focus was bio-archeology, and she helped categorize and analyze collections of human remains from the Bronze Age for The Smithsonian Institute in Washington, DC.\u00a0 She holds a Master of Arts in Humanities from Tiffin University, focusing on Interdisciplinary Studies and Media. She joined Austin Community College in 2011.\u00a0 She has taught online, hybrid and face-to-face courses in Humanities in the Philosophy, Religion, and Humanities departments.\u00a0 Kerri is a founding member of the Great Questions program at ACC and manages the program’s curriculum, training, and administration.\u00a0 She has presented on student engagement at numerous events, including but not limited to The Great Teaching Retreat, Digital Fellows, Digicon, DE Symposium, and ACC \u00a0Development Days. Kerri has been teaching online for over 15 years and has focused her training and research on engaging and enriching the student experience in her courses.<\/div>\n

Teaching Philosophy<\/strong><\/h4>\n

I enjoy media and use interactive tools and applications readily. I believe in diverse learning environments that offer a multitude of paths for learning. Students will experience culture from many different perspectives and through multiple mediums. There is so much out there and we can only touch on so much in one class, but I hope to inspire students to seek out and explore the fascinating history we came from and wonderful world we live in.<\/p>\n
