The credit pathway offers <\/span>registration and financial benefits<\/span><\/a>, so most students will want to fill out the credit application.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Choose the credit pathway (<\/span>Traditional<\/b>) if you meet <\/span>all four<\/b> of these criteria:<\/span><\/p>\n

    \n
  1. You are a US citizen or permanent resident,<\/span><\/li>\n
  2. You have a high school diploma or high school equivalency (GED),<\/span><\/li>\n
  3. You have lived in Texas for at least 12 months, AND,\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n
  4. You live in the ACC District.<\/a><\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    Choose the <\/span>credit pathway (<\/span>International<\/b>)<\/span><\/a> if you have an F1 visa.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

    Choose <\/span>continuing education<\/b> (CE) if you do not meet all four criteria above.     Step 1: <\/b>\u00a0Visit the <\/span>application portal page<\/span><\/a>:<\/span><\/p>\n

    1. If this is your first time applying to ACC, select \u201cFirst Time User\u201d and complete the form.\u00a0 You will receive a follow-up email from ACC. Follow the email instructions to set up an application account password.<\/span><\/li>\n
    2. If you have completed an ACC application in the past, enter your username and password. Select \u201cforgot password\u201d if you can\u2019t remember it.<\/span><\/li>\n
    3. After logging into the portal, select the <\/span>Traditional<\/b> option and complete the application. <\/span>Follow the <\/span>Credit Application Instructions for ESOL Students<\/span><\/a> for helpful tips.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

      Step 2:<\/b> After you have completed an ACC application and received your ACCeID, move ahead to <\/span>placement testing<\/span><\/a>.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

      Step 3: <\/b>Activate ACCeID. ACC online applications require a special electronic ID and password. \u00a0 Follow the instructions on the <\/span>Activate Your ACCeID<\/b><\/a> page.<\/span><\/p>\n

      Step 4.<\/b> (Optional) Apply for financial aid.       Step 1:<\/b> Complete an ACC application to get your ACCeID number. (The ACCeID is a seven-digit number preceded by a letter. If you already have an ACCeID number, move ahead to <\/span>placement testing<\/span><\/a>.)<\/span><\/p>\n

      To complete the application, you must have a U.S.-issued social security number or an ACC-issued Alternate ID. If you do\u00a0<\/i>not<\/i><\/span>\u00a0have a social security number,<\/span>\u00a0<\/i>click here to request an Alternate ID number<\/strong><\/a>.<\/strong><\/span><\/div>\n

      You have two options for completing the application: Online and in-person.\u00a0\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

      Option 1 \u2013 Secure Online Application<\/b><\/p>\n

      Before beginning the online application process, <\/i><\/b>watch this video<\/i><\/b><\/a> and <\/i><\/b>review this guide<\/i><\/b><\/a>:<\/b><\/p>\n

            Option 2 \u2013 In-Person<\/b><\/p>\n

                2. Bring your social security number or ACC Alternate ID.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
