Application
Watch this video or make an appointment if you need help with the application.
Step 1: Apply
Scroll to the bottom of the page and choose the Continuing Education “Apply Now” button. Do not choose Adult Education.
* NOTE: If you accidentally choose the wrong application, email [email protected] and request help.
** If you don’t have an account, choose “First time users click here” and follow the instructions here.
Step 2: Complete the application
At the bottom, choose “Liberal Arts” for Area of Study and “ESOL” for Continuing Education Credential. Hit submit.
Step 3: Receive confirmation email
Receive an email from [email protected] when your application is complete. Check your spam folder if you do not see it. You now have an ACCeID which you’ll use for taking the ESOL assessment, registering for classes, and logging into Blackboard. Make sure to save it and remember it.
Step 4: Ready for testing
You are now ready for testing! Go to the Assessment page.
Assessment
An ACCeID is required to complete this step. Visit the Application page if you don’t have an ACCeID.
ESOL Assessment Steps:
Step 1: Oral Interview
Schedule and attend an oral interview appointment. Attend the appointment before you begin Step 2.
Step 2: Take the ESOL Assessment
- Visit a Testing Center at a campus near you during their open hours. (Testing Center Directions and Schedules)
- All testing is on a walk-in basis. There are no appointments.
- Bring the following with you to the Testing Center:
- a photo ID
- your ACCeID number
Step 3: Activate ACCeID
ACC online applications require a special electronic ID and password. Follow the instructions on the Activate Your ACCeID page.

How to prepare for the appointment
ESOL courses (maybe a video about each skill)
Visit either the CE or Credit Registration page.
CE Registration
Online Registration
- Choose your classes from the Fall 2025 Schedule.
- Activate your ACCeID: austincc.edu/help/acceid. Written Instructions, Video Instructions
- Click on CE Online Registration Portal. Written Instructions, Video Instructions
- Click on “Log in with ACCeID” under Current Students.
- Enter your ACCeID and Password.
- Select a security authentication option and complete the steps.
- Select “Register for CE classes.”
- Enter the course synonym in the “Search for Sections” box.
- Click Select.
- Click Add Section.
- Click Next.
- Select “Add More Sections” if you want to register for more than one class and repeat steps 8-11.
- Select the payment method and click Proceed to Payment.
- Enter your payment information and click submit.
Email Registration
This is for students who have trouble with the online registration process.
- Complete the paper registration form.
- Email the completed registration form to [email protected].
- Wait for an email confirming that you have been registered.
- Pay for your class. (Must be completed no later than 11:59 p.m. on the day you register.)
- Go to austincc.edu/students.
- Click on Self Service.
- Enter your ACCeID and password.
- Click on “Pay for Classes” and follow the prompts.
To Prepare for Class
Complete the ESOL Orientation Course.
Credit Registration
Step 1: Activate your ACC accounts
Activate your ACCeID and ACCmail account.
Step 2: Plan Your Classes
Log on to Self-Service to confirm your academic program, plan your classes and check for holds.
- Confirm academic program: Go to Student Planning>My Progress. Your academic program will be listed at the top. If you want to change your program, you must see an advisor (see “Step 3” below).
- Plan classes: Go to Student Planning>Plan and Schedule. Type “ESOL” in the search bar to find ESOL courses. You can also find all the ESOL class options on the Summer 2025 course schedule or Fall 2025 Course Schedule.
- Check for holds: If you have any holds, they will be listed as “notifications” at the top of the page. Each notification will guide you through the steps to clear the hold on your account.

Step 3: Meet with your Area of Study Advisor
Make an appointment for a video meeting with an area-of-study advisor. (Students in their second or later credit semester at ACC may be able to skip this step.)
- New students: Contact Online Advising for registration. You can use the Live Chat feature on their page or email them at [email protected] from your ACC student email address. Let them know you have taken the ESOL Assessment and know your placement levels.
- Continuing/returning students: Use the “Find My Advisor” button on the advising webpage to see who your advisor is. Email your advisor for an appointment or for help with registration. If you do not have an assigned advisor, contact Online Advising for registration.
Step 4: Register

ACC’s Registration Station staff is available to assist and provide one-on-one support with the online registration and tuition payment systems after you have completed Step 3: Meet with an Area of Study Advisor. (If you have not yet met with an AoS advisor, do that first.)
