Valles.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.austincc.edu\/news\/2019\/04\/acc-hosts-8th-annual-peace-and-conflict-studies-spring-symposium\">Learn More<\/a><\/p>\n<h4><strong>Panel Discussion<\/strong><\/h4>\n<ul>\n<li><em><strong>Phillip Townsend<\/strong><\/em> &#8211; Neon Queen Collective co-founder<\/li>\n<li><em><strong>Fidencio Duran<\/strong><\/em> &#8211; Painter, muralist, and teaching artist<\/li>\n<li><em><strong>Charlotte Gullick<\/strong><\/em> &#8211; Writer and ACC Creative Writing department chair<\/li>\n<li><em><strong>Jason Reed<\/strong><\/em> &#8211; Texas State University Photography associate professor and Borderland Collective co-founder and director<\/li>\n<li><em><strong>Victoria Suescum<\/strong><\/em> &#8211; Visual artist and ACC Art professor<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Throughout the day, participants could explore an art exhibition, booths by community organizations, and live performances by Austin Classical Guitar and ACC&#8217;s drama, dance, and creative writing departments.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>&#8220;A major goal of this annual symposium is to unite our community of learners through deep engagement with a particular theme that relates to peace and non-violent conflict transformation.
